Capturing Romance at Sapphire Point

I am a Kansas City elopement photographer who enjoys showing my clients how beautiful they and their special moments truly are. In every session, I am reminded of why I am so passionate about what I do, and it feels good when my clients trust my skills and allow me full creative range to exude that passion. Capturing couples, engagements, anniversaries and weddings just does something good to my soul! I am always looking for new ways to capture and highlight the intimate moments that build our lives.

I was recently hired to shoot a charming romantic getaway in Dillon, Colorado. Talk about the views! There were many incredible options for this couple’s photos; however, the focus was Sapphire Point which the groom approved ahead of time. We hiked up the mountain to a more private area where I captured the couple reciting their sweet vows. Not only did I get a good workout in, but I took in the amazing air, greenery, and views as I caught various affectionate details of the couples’ love. At that moment, I was inspired by everything around me and I entered full creative mode. 

After finishing the ceremony, we ventured down to the Dillon Reservoir where I grabbed some enchanting sunset photos. I had so much fun using the water and the natural lighting to emphasize their moment; I was determined to ensure both the couple and the energy were evident in the final photos. Finally, towards the end of their big day, we headed to their cozy Airbnb in downtown Silverthorn, Colorado where they popped bubbly on the rooftop and celebrated their elopement. I am thankful I had the opportunity to make their moment special because they certainly inspired me. I look forward to highlighting more couples’ special moments in the future.
